Hi, my name is Farmer Andy Andrade and I grow organic green lettuce and spinach in California, Oregon, and Arizona. I have not always grown my vegetables organically, but after learning about how environmentally-friendly organic farming is, I decided to switch. Growing organically is also good for our consumers, like you! I love being outdoors and working with the plants in the fields and ‘listening’ to what the fields need. Some days I change the soil or give different amounts of water, depending on what the vegetables need. Farming is always challenging when you are dealing with Mother Nature and unpredictable weather, but I’ve been farming with my partner for over 30 years and still love what I do! I get to grow and pick my favorite vegetable (organic spinach) everyday! What is your favorite vegetable?
